We had a great talk with Aysha, 37, proud cat mama of Winter. She answered to our questions in regards to how she runs Winter's Instagram account.
Where are you living?
- London U.K.
How old is Winter?
- 2 1/2.
Is she going outside or is she staying home?
- Indoor cat but loves to go outside supervised.
For how long is your cat on Instagram?
- 2 years.
Why did you open the account?
- To share with family and friends.
How often do you post per week?
- Daily.
Why do you like Instagram?
- The cat community is wonderful and we’ve made some life long friends.
What do you dislike on Instagram?
- I can’t stand the ever changing algorithms - it totally messes with engagement.
What is the best thing that happened to you on Instagram?
- Setting up Winters Pawsitive Purrs - spreading love and positivity each month and having so many of the animal community take part has been so rewarding.

What is your favourite media (Photo, video, reels, stories)and why?
- I love taking photos as a picture can tell so many stories and reels are so much fun not only to watch but to create, and can show the personality of Winter
How do you get your cat meowdeling (tips and tricks)?
- The best time for us is after a nap or food, as Winter is most content and playful then. I try not to exceed more than 15-20mins so she doesn’t become irritated and of course treats always help during a shoot and afterwards as a reward. I never edit my photos but just try to capture them during the day in natural light as I find that the best

What advice would you share to another cats account manager new on Instagram?
Have fun, don’t take it too seriously. Remember real life comes first and IG should be an outlet to escape and enjoy. And always ensure whatever you do, your cat is happy and comfortable.
